I’ve never considered joining an honors society. Mostly because, up until college, I did TERRIBLE in school. I know it was largely in part to stress and my living situation but still. I’ve become a type A personality ever since I have realized that I am not destined to be a continuous failure. Anyway, I was invited to join the Phi Theta Kappa at my 2 year college. It’s $75 but says it offers scholarships etc that other people do not have accesss too. Is this worth it? I’m timid about things that make you pay to join..even if you qualify to join them already. Are the benefits worth the start up cost? Will 4 year colleges really find you more appealing over people with similar GPA’s?
