My grandfather and boyfriend planted a little garden last weekend. They planted tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, red/green/yellow pepper, jalapenos, banana pepper, and cucumber. The plants are looking really good. Picture above is when vegetables were first planted a week ago.
Picture below is of vegetables 5/5/16 . I need to get a better picture because of the shade but they are definitely taller! 🙂
It was nice having my grandmother and grandfather come stay with us. I really enjoyed that. I made Gaga a lot of coffee and we road out to Folly Beach. She wanted to just stay in the car but I wanted her to see the ocean. So see it and step in it she did!
Jeremy made a good meal for us too. It was a lot of fun.
I just came upon the page of My Small Potatoes. This idea I found on their page is too adorable to not share. I’ve done a post on a small garden for kids but it was not decorated in this way. It talks about how the writer let her child pick out the plants, decide where to put them, etc. LOVE. I’m pro getting kids off tv and into nature 🙂 Please check out link below!

I saw these flowers in bloom and thought that they were really beautiful and vibrant with color. Wanted to share this with you! I was actually going to a clients house but was early. I discovered a few plants in the area which I stopped to converse with 🙂
Took these while walking around my neighborhood 🙂

I was asked as a favor to take a picture of my neighbors Lilies today! I was so excited about that. She offered to pay me but just for the sheer experience and someone liking my work enough to ask me was more than enough ❤ I really liked this one and wanted to share it!! Below are a few about to bloom!
I just came across the sweetest summer project idea on Pinterest! I would have never thought to make a”child’s garden” but it makes so much sense!
Does your child love to pick flowers?
Do they enjoy having a space of their very own?
Do you want to teach them about responsibility and nature at the same time?
Check out how to make an easy, simple, and affordable child’s garden at >>>The Simple Sister’s Blog (K.I.S.S) . I do not have children but this idea is definitely something I would use if I did! I I agree with the blog when it says that you should let your child choose whatever flowers they would like to put in their garden. It makes it feel more special. Adding vegetables is also a great idea !
Ever since I went to Lowes the other day and saw all of the beautiful flowers I can’t stop thinking about them. I’m so excited about the weather right now. If your from VA, you know the fact that it’s not sleeting or freezing is amaazing. I wish I had the money to buy lots of plants! Sadly, I’m a poor broke college student. So for those of us that are struggling and can’t afford bloomed flowers or veggies…just go the seed route! THE CHEAP WAY
I encourage you to check out growindie’s blog on Wordpress !
